Direct Sound

input device	Click on the down arrow to select an Input Device. The selected Input will now be available as an Audio Input.
output device	Click on the down arrow to select an Output Device. The selected Output will now be available as an Audio Hardware Output.
Sample Format	Click on the radio button to set the bit depth that will be used for recordings.
Input Channels	Enter a value into this field to set the number of Input channels.
Output Channels	Enter a value into this field to set the number of Output channels.
Samplerate	Enter a value into this field to set the sample rate that will be used for recordings.
Buffers	This section allows you to alter the buffer settings for REAPER. A larger buffer will give more stable performance on some systems, at the expense of latency. It is best to start with the default settings first and only alter these settings if you encounter problems.
