This page is describing Reapers way of "freezing" tracks.

In Reaper you can Render a track to freeze the audio on it.
This can be done to:
- Free up CPU/Ram resources
- Print synths/effects for sharing projects
What it does
When Rendering a track this way, Reaper renders the audio to a new track
This is printed to audio:
- All effects, with effect automatition
- All item fx, automatition and fades
This is not printed to audio, but is copied to the new track:
- Volume, pan, sends and corresponding automatition
How to
- Select the track(s) you want to freeze
- Right-click > Render
(Choose among the various options)
You can also:
- Run the actions from the Action Dialog
- Set up a toolbarbutton
- Make a shortcutkey
