Select Options > Preferences (Ctrl+P) > General > Keyboard to access REAPER Keyboard Shortcuts Preferences.

 

These preferences set the Keyboard Shortcuts within REAPER.

Shortcut

Click on this column heading to sort the Keyboard Shortcuts list by Shortcut.

Description

Click on this column heading to sort the Keyboard Shortcuts list by Description.

New

Select New to create a new Keyboard Shortcut.

Enter the name of the key in the Shortcut field, or select Special key if you want REAPER to automatically enter the key name into this field. You will be prompted to press the key you wish to use.

 

Select the down arrow in the Action field to associate your key with a selected action from the list.

Edit

You must select a keyboard shortcut from the list before you can use the Edit function.

Once a shortcut has been selected, select Edit to open the Edit Keyboard Shortcut window. REAPER will warn you if the changes you wish to make will conflict with another keyboard shortcut.

Find

Select Find to search for the Action that is assigned to a particular key.

If an action is associated with the key you press, the shortcut list will jump to that action. If no action has been assigned to the key you press, a Shortcut not found error message will be displayed.

Remove

You must select a keyboard shortcut from the list before you can use the Remove function. Select Remove to delete the keyboard shortcut from the list.

There is no confirmation or undo for this action. The shortcut will be removed from the list as soon as you select Remove. Make sure you have selected the correct shortcut before you select Remove.

Reset to default

Select Reset to default to restore the Keyboard Shortcut list to the default settings.

Load

REAPER Keyboard Shortcut lists can be saved as a .ReaperKeyMap file, allowing you to use your settings on any other REAPER installation. Select Load to load a Key Map file.

Save

Select Save to save your Keyboard Shortcut list as a .ReaperKeyMap file.

View shortcuts as printable/searchable web page

Selecting this hyperlink will load the Keyboard Shortcut list into your default browser as a web page.
