Toggles the option "Use all MIDI inputs for step recording" in the MIDI editor's Options menu.
When enabled, each MIDI note that arrives at any enabled port in REAPER will be inserted at the edit cursor (with original velocity) and the edit cursor advances to the end of the note. The track does not need to be armed for recording.
The length can be specified in the "Notes:" field at the bottom of the piano roll editor, or just follow the grid size.
