"Channel..." family of actions

Sections: MIDI Editor, MIDI Event List

Actions of this group hide or show individual MIDI channels in the piano roll and the event list. They directly affect the upper (channel) area of the Filter Event dialog

Channel: Show all channels (Cmd ID 40217)

Brings all MIDI channels into view if any channel was hidden. The "All" checkbox of the Event Filter dialog gets checked.

Channel: Show only next channel (Cmd ID 40216)

Sets the MIDI editors to show only the next channel, depending on which channel is currently being edited. Relates to the "Draw events on channel:" field in the Event Filter. Increases it by one and sets the channel visibility checkboxes to show that channel only (and checks "Enable filter, if it's currently unchecked). It doesn't cycle from 16 to 1, so if you currently draw on channel 16 this action will do nothing.

Channel: Show only previous channel (Cmd ID 40215)

Sets the MIDI editors to show only the previous channel, depending on which channel is currently being edited. Relates to the "Draw events on channel:" field in the Event Filter. Decreases it by one and sets the channel visibility checkboxes to show that channel only (and checks "Enable filter, if it's currently unchecked). It doesn't cycle from 1 to 16, so if you currently draw on channel 1 this action will do nothing.

Channel: Show only channel... (Cmd IDs 40218 to 40233)

Sets the MIDI editors to show only the channel specified in the name of the action. All other channels will be hidden.

Channel: Toggle channel... (Cmd IDs 40643 to 40658)

Toggles visibility of the channel specified in the name of the action on and off. Like clicking one of the channel checkboxes in the Filter Events dialog. If all channels are currently visible, all channels except the specified channel are hidden.

Set channel for new events to... (Cmd IDs 40482 to 40479)

Any new event you insert/draw will be on the MIDI channel specified in the name of the action. All events on other channels will be hidden, only the specified channel will be visible.
