Default HELP : How can I drop a FX to selected area only?

Hello. How can I drop a FX on a selected area only, not on all track?

Not very easily. You must put the desired FX on the track first, select an item where you want the FX and then use the "Apply FX to Item as new take"-command. Then, of course, you should bypass/remove the FX plugin on the track to avoid double processing the audio.

There's been several feature requests to have this kind of operation to be easier in Reaper, so far no news from Cockos if they are going to implement anything or not...

I believe Justin has said before that item-effects is coming before version 3.0. Hopefully sooner.

Another option besides applying the effect would be to automate it, either thru the effect's wet-dry balance or bypass, or as an aux send,

thanks, I simply recorded trakc in parts and moved some parts to other channels, where i added FX
